Rotary’s Emergency Booklet save lives

Rotary’s Emergency Booklet save lives.

Rotary Club of Hervey Bay City members, City President Ross Boles and coordinator Rotarian Colin Block, show off Rotary’s Emergency Medical Booklet (EMIB) which is currently available from listed Pharmacies and Medical Centres. It’s hard to believe a simple booklet, small enough to fit into  your handbag or pocket, could save your life. But over the past four years the Rotary Club of Hervey Bay’s City Emergency Medical Information Booklet (EMIB) has come to the aid of hundreds of residents allowing them to quickly pass on valuable information about the medication they take, and their current medical conditions, to ambulance officers in times of emergency. It is not only for the elderly but also for young people on medication.

The EMIB is also available for people travelling overseas.  The booklet is available for a donation of  a $2 gold coin and is available from: Urangan Medical Centre Hervey Bay; Wizard Pharmacy Stocklands Shopping Centre Hervey Bay; Point Vernon Medical Centre Hervey Bay; Campbell Hearing, Bay Central Hervey Bay; Priceline Pharmacy, B.H.D. Urraween Hervey Bay and I.P.G. Pharmacy, Main Street Kawungan Hervey Bay.
